has reopened their archives - for the past several years, behind a subscription wall, in a not particularly well-thought-out business model - and they now go all the way back to 1996.
Thus, it's kind of interesting to see again those headlines from the fabled End of History - especially prescient ones like this
, or a pitch-perfect imitation of, say, natural disaster-related blame-and-ignorance panic here.
Sure, The Onion
isn't very amusing now
- but it certainly had the potential to be, and that's a shame.
