Show a little initiative, work up the guts

Things you never knew you never knew: The edited-for-TV version of Little Shop of Horrors - currently playing as the evening movie on Family Channel - overdubs "klutz" for "putz" in the song Feed Me. (That's a link to the 2003 Broadway Cast album lyrics, but the film soundtrack version does, in fact, also use "putz.") That's some fantastic paranoia. The story already involves murder, masochism, sadism, drug use and domestic abuse; what kind of censor imagines any children that happen to be watching are going to be scandalized not by those aspects (apparently uncut), but by very-mildly-risqué Yiddish slang?
