Cheney's bringing up a great point in the multilateralist column. Inducing allies to forgive Iraqi debt from the Baathist era will do a lot more to help a nascent democracy than a thousand or two troops from France or Germany.
"The American people saw John Kerry. They saw he's committed," or something to that effect. That's a pretty awful example of ad populum sidestepping. He has not demonstrated it.
