I've been "temporarily, just for maybe a week or two, you know" laid off from the data entry job I got at the start of the summer for a month now. This morning, I got a pay stub in the mail saying I'd been paid $58 in the most recent two weeks' pay period...in the vacation pay column. So, despite not working for the two weeks before or two weeks after, it seems some accounting glitch has decided to give me the same paid vacation hours for Canada Day anyway.
I call shenanigans on that. Or I would, if I didn't need the money somewhat badly.
